What Are Vitamin Injections?

Vitamin injections are an intramuscular injection that treats various vitamin deficiencies. It is absorbed into your bloodstream via your muscles. Unlike vitamins that are taken orally, vitamin injections bypass the digestive system and result in a 90-100% vitamin absorption rate.

Who should get the Vitamin B12 Injections?

People who are Vitamin B12 deficient. You must be tested for a deficiency before we can treat you, this is to ensure you're suitable for the injections.​

 

How can I get the Vitamin B12 test?

If you have symptoms of B12 deficiency you can have a test from your GP or privately.

 

Symptoms:

- Extreme tiredness

- A lack of energy

- Pins and needles

- Muscle weakness

- Disturbed vision

- Problems with memory, understanding, and judgment.

- Depression and confusion.

- Mouth ulcers/glossitis

- Dizziness

 

​How often will I need the injection?

Sometimes a course of 4 injections within a short time frame is required to start with then It can be from every 1-3 months to twice yearly depending if it's diet or non-diet related. Your GP will be able to inform you on how many B12 injections you will need to start with,  it can range from 1 injection every week for 4-6 weeks

Biotin belongs to the B-group family of vitamins and is sometimes known as vitamin B7. Biotin is a water-soluble nutrient, so we can't store it in our body, but the bacteria that live in our gut can produce a small amount. Biotin is also found in a wide variety of foods such as liver, egg yolks, and yeast.
